Here are some of the photos I have taken over the course.

Front Cover

Main Image:

Location: I will take this photo to make it look like it's a Primary school classroom, yet may have to improvise where I actually take the photo; I could set up a scene in my house with my younger brother, or I could seek permission from his Primary school to take a few photos in a real classroom which would be ideal.

Props: As drawn in my plan, I intended to feature three children sat at desks or tables, with classroom scenery in the background to set an acedemic and fun feel to my front cover.

Model: The model at the very front will have her hand raised confidently, and wearing uniform like the other students behind her. These students will obviously be Primary school children - hopefully from The Oaks which is my chosen school.

Secondary Images:

I plan to have a secondary image of some children (three or more) in fancy dress outfits to match a coverline on my front cover. This could be taken near Halloween or Christmas when young children will be dressing up for the season. As I want to focus on their costumes, setting is not important, so I will take this photo wherever I can and show as little background as possible.

I also need the logo of the Oaks Primary School, which I will take from the website and feature in the top, left corner of my front cover.

Finally, as I want to show a "things to make and do" section in my magazine to appeal to children, I need pictures of arty projects, which I can easily construct in the art rooms at my school, or at home in my spare time.

Contents Page

Main Image:

My main image for my contents page will be made on a computer as I want it to resemble a tree, but not actually be one. However I will include other images around this computer graphic; the first will be of a child or children outdoors looking at bugs and insects. Once again I can take this with my younger brother in my own time. Next, I would like to go into my school's "music club" in order to take a photo of musical instruments - I may be able to photograph a year 7, making it look like they're year 6. Finally, I can easily take a picture of children's books for my third image, as I can go into my school's library and photograph a variety of genres there and then.

These images are suitable for my magazine, though I will

probably crop them slightly. The image of the books will be a

coverline on my contents page, and the arty photo will sit at the

bottom of my front cover as planned.

Final Plan

For my front cover's main image, I have analysed a

number of portrait shots and decided which would be

most effective on my Analyses page.

I narrowed it down to the following images:

To also feature on my front cover, I will use this transparent image of an oak

tree (sourced from photographic-clipart.com) and the three arty images which I

will try to shape into puzzle pieces. Finally, I will use the image of two girls looking

at work as my secondary image, despite it not following my original plan of a

photo of children in fancy dress.
